It really is amazing with it's own beauty and color. I also love the bokeh in the background (especially the red bokeh).
After applying some textures and changing the hue/saturation and burning the edges a bit by hand, this is what I got...

It is interesting how the two pictures give different impressions. The original is bright and happy, the second is more impressionistic. I tend toward the bright one, but that is just the way I like things. Good job.
